Mexican Night!

Trying out my flip camera on Mexican Night here at the dorm. Oscar and Miguel cooked up a nice, cool shrimp salad for our eating pleasure!

The students had a relaxing break with their families. Two of our boys even traveled to Michigan to go skiing!

New Year's Eve

Kokomo KatFish

Jose and Keita have been working very hard this Season on the Swim Team. They practice everyday after-school and the workouts are intense. Both boys have never swam on a team before and are doing a wonderful job. The coach reports, 'It's fun having the International Students around!" Keita has a swimmers body and is a natural in the water with his long, smooth strokes. Jose is very aggressive in the water, giving it 100%.


 

New Kids On The Block!

 Welcome Shawn from South Korea to Mikalas Dorm. Shawn has a sweet demeanor and is very bright. He got moved out of his Biology class after receiving the second highest grade on a pre-test. He is now in Honors Biology! Shawn enjoys soccer. 

John is from China and is adjusting to life in the Dorm. He had many questions his first days here [which is understandable] and has quickly made friends with his dorm brothers! John loves basketball. 

Both boys are a wonderful addition to our dorm. Currently we have 13 boys represented here. Our 'veterans' have done a wonderful job including the new boys and showing them around Kokomo High School. Miguel helped Shawn in the lunch room his first day and Fan is including John in his day-to-day activities. Shawn is at a basketball game as I update this blog with his dorm brothers! 

Continue to pray for the boys, both new and old, as they begin a new semester and finish strong!
