AP Dorm

I asked the group to help me think of a name for our dorm...the winning name is AP DORM. The name was chosen because most of our students are in Advanced Placement classes and also because we have Amazing People in the dorm! Here is a few of these amazing people....

The two boys in the suits [Tom and Wei] are not able to go to Prom this year because of scheduling conflicts so they have a 'mini prom' in the dorm....

just building memories....

This weekend we had lovely Fall weather...here are the girls enjoying lunch in our 'urban oasis'...or the area between the boy's and the girl's dorm!
 Corndogs!

Sweet sweet Tom had to have surgery this week to remove his appendix. Many friends from the dorm came to visit him during his recovery! Such good friends! Tom is doing well, he is resting now and the surgery was a success. Please continue to pray for Tom and his family, I'm sure it must be difficult for them to be so far away during this time.

Chinese Festival in Indianapolis!

Several of our students travelled south a few weekends back to attend the Annual Chinese Festival in Indianapolis, IN. Thank you to all the volunteers who were willing to help make this happen!
Lucus, Tom, Nic, and Carlos bowling! :)

We are approaching the end of the first 9 weeks of school....I can hardly believe that 9 weeks has already passed since our students have arrived. It has been a whirlwind of events! The students are adjusting well to dorm life and Kokomo. Pray for continued strength for each student as many of our students this year are seniors and will be taking their college entrance exams [9 will take SAT on Saturday]. :)

We love this dorm!!

I just love this picture because it represents the quality of kids in our dorm this year. We were having a team/family meeting and playing a game. The students in the dorm are so kind to my biological boys- so neat to see!!

There are many neat things about living in an International Dorm/Candy Shoppe but one of my favorite things is all of new foods we get to taste!! Neus and her fiancĂ©, Alford prepared an authentic Spanish Dish for the Dorm on Friday...Spanish Omelet! It was devine!
